V6/V8 Installation Instructions.
The Yamaha manifolds,risers,power steering cooler, thermostat housing & hoses are discarded.
Attach the new thermostat housing, with new thermosat,to the manifold.
The raw water pump is turned 180 degrees,so the hose fittings point up, and a hose is attached to the output side of the pump and thermostat housing.The old OEM hoses can be used for this .
The incoming water feed line from the transom,that runs underneath the port manifold,is cut & the new power steering cooler is connected.The hose is reattached to the input side of the raw water pump.
Reattach the power steering pump & actuator using the new lines to the cooler
Reattach the alternator to the cylinder bracket and use the brace provided to support the alt (see photo)
Bolt the manifolds to the cyl heads,attach the exhaust bellows to risers and bolt on to manifold.Tighten hose clamps.
Attach the shift plate to the stb riser using two 5/16"bolts of suitable length.
Attach the dipstick plate to the port riser using one 5/16" bolt.
